This is a great option for a family of teenagers. The whole team at Cycle Catalan were brilliant. We particularly enjoyed the cycling route through the medieval villages, rice fields and orchards. We shopped and ate locally and purchased gifts from local producers. We travelled via train- Eurostar then high speed TGV from Paris to Girona. The weather was pretty hot in August, so we recommend starting early and heading to the numerous beaches locally in the afternoon.
